Having focused on the trade market in the past, Baxi was keen to increase brand awareness with the consumer market too.
WONKY was approached by Connect Advertising to bring Baxi’s ‘Make it easy’ strap line to life through a set of scenarios that transformed DIY jobs that normally take a bit of effort into simple tasks. This meant designing and animating 3 x 10 sec sponsorship idents to fit the style of the latest Baxi branding. A set of Baxi characters including an enthusiastic DIY dog were created to help deal with insulating a loft, stripping a wall and optimising a roof’s solar power potential.
The idents were used to sponsor all the home improvement programmes on the digital channel Home including ‘DIY SOS’, ‘Homes Under The Hammer’ and ‘My Dream Derelict Home’.
These idents were adapted for a digital campaign too, bringing Baxi’s ‘Make it easy’ strap line to life into banner adverts deliver to major media websites.
