Invisible Helpers

Brooke has been improving the lives of vulnerable working horses, donkeys and mules, and the communities that depend on them. Working in some of the most challenging areas of the world, they relieve immediate suffering and create lasting change. While an estimated 100 million working horses, donkeys and mules contribute to the livelihoods of many poor communities around the world, their contribution to sustainable development is largely overlooked in national and regional livestock planning and policy framing. This film highlights how the contribution of working equids is helping to meet the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set out by the United Nations.
