Ministry of Curious Stuff

WONKY were chosen by CBBC to create 36 humorous animations for their brand new comedy sketch show ‘The Ministry of Curious Stuff’. Written by Vic Reeves and Steve Burge (Shooting Stars), the programme is set in The Ministry of Curious Stuff – a fantastical depository of information, and occasional misinformation, run by Vic and his inquisitive and extraordinary team of researchers. Each episode sees the team answering three questions posed by CBBC viewers, launching a fact-finding mission full of sketches, songs, animations and Vic’s unique flights of fancy. We’ve been bringing to life the quirky illustrations of Vic Reeves to answer viewers’ questions such as ‘Do flying monkey soldiers exist?’ and ‘Can you dance in space?’

“Working with Wonky was a dream. A passionate and positive bunch of creatives who got the brief instantly. They succeeded in creating exciting animated worlds to house Vic Reeve’s fantastically surreal illustrations, bringing each carefully drawn character to life with comedic style and flair. The work flow was made simple and always felt fun and nothing was too much trouble. I look forward to working with Wonky again very soon.” Senior Producer – CBBC
