My Genome (part 2)
This is the second animation we produced for the “My Genome Sequence” series for Great Ormond Street Hospital. It was created to explain to young patients how having their genome sequenced can help doctors to find the cause of their condition. This film also explains some of the current limitations and uncertainties of genome sequencing and is of relevance to not only patients but their parents and anyone wanting to learn more about the world of genetics.
The voice over is of a young patient at Great Ormond Street Hospital whose own genome had been sequenced as part of the 100,000 Genomes Project. The film was developed as part of a research project supported by the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.

“I very much enjoyed working with the team at Wonky. They were full of creative ideas about how our animation could look to make it fun and engaging for young people. We were extremely pleased with the creative process as well as the finished product which has received rave reviews from the patients we have shown it to. I would have no hesitation working with Wonky again.”
